Tough Loss for Eagles

By Ken Sanders – Sports Information Director
The Eagles faced a tough North Greenville squad last night and came away with a 2 – 0 loss. Due to injuries, TFC was minus three key players: David Brown, Alex Kerr, and Josh Palmer. While Eric Bill and Sam Hamilton, two starters from a year ago, played hurt. Coach Mattison also was forced to play three freshmen: Tyler Timberlake, Lennart Kroneman, and Dustin Howell. After the game, he said, “These guys took the challenge and played well for us.”
The second half proved too much for the Eagles as North Greenville went on to score two goals. TFC never gave up and had several chances to score with outstanding play from David Eckman, Jeremy Bill, and Peter Yang. Even though he saw two goals scored, Goalie Travis Julian played a great game making save after save for the Eagles.
